Folks, we've just arrived on the scene at the Allentown Fair, and the sun is hot, the fried dough stands are hopping, the ferris wheel is rotating, and our classy crew guys are prepping the stage for rock and roll. Opening tonight is not The Rational Clown Posse NOR Oilcan Johnson as we were told, but thankfully its Gaslight Anthem.

Good greif - well the sun went down on that fair but it never got any cooler! At least not temperature wise... However, as the evening progressed it got a LOT cooler entertainment wise! Gaslight Anthem delivered a cracking set and then Weezer did its thang. Despite the utter opressiveness of the oven like air, Rivers and co. fought hard and got the energy level up to the now-usual weez standard of: "high", with moments of "nutso" sprinkled in whenever possible. Excellent guest stars came in the form of a small stuffed tiger and a giant pink stuffed gorilla. I hope the security guard who took that inexplicable head first mini-dive to concrete out near the front-of-house area is ok. He looked more mad than hurt. What in the world happened there? A very strange accident as the RC whirlwind blew through the crowd, stoking up the fair peeps everywhere he scampered.

Best day of my life!!

Quality show, boys!
I've been reading a lot of comments on here about the length of your set being too short. I've got to say, I was not disappointed at all. I've been to other shows with hour long sets that sucked. This concert was AWESOME- many of your hit songs were played, and it was straight up FUN. And, besides, I'm not sure how Rivers kept up that energy level for as long as he did! I would have collapsed after 5 minutes of running around like he did during the show (and, FYI, I jog for fun!). Kudos to him and to all of you guys. I cannot wait for Weezer to come around again! You guys totally rocked the house here in good ole Allentown, PA. : D

Of course Weezer didn't disappoint during the concert and definitely exceeded my expectations, of course they were high to begin with. This being my third concert I am super pysched to see them as soon as they are in the area again. I love you guys!

What an awesome show.....Like many others we thought that Weezer would be the PERFECT first show for our 9 year old son. I have the best pictures of him rocking out, singing with his air guitar. My husband goes to see Weezer every time they are in the area, needless to say our family are monster WEEZER fans. Rivers running up the aisle and hanging from the rafters was awesome, and my little guy is convinced he saw the poster he was holding up! All the great songs we like, the only one he was wanting to hear that he didn't was the Good Life, but thats ok.....Next time! I just love the fact that you guys make it ok to be smart,to wear glasses,to not be a "jock", to not be the coolest kid on the block (and yet that makes you even cooler in my book)and my little guy, (who is very much that way)sees that just being yourself is cool too. Thank you so much......this is his first year wearing glasses, and yes, we got him "buddy holly" horn rimmed frames because Rivers wears them! I even heard the idea of being Rivers for Halloween being thrown around! WE CANNOT wait until their next show on the East Coast, and we WILL travel to see them. This was one of the best concerts that we were ever at, and it was because of Weezer putting on a fab, high energy show and because we got to share something we all love, all together. Thanks guys! Keep up the phenomenal work.....Can't wait for Hurley.
Just What I Needed!
Sometimes when you're stressed out, you just want to scream. Thanks for giving me the venue to do just that! Weezer was incredible . . . could have lasted a little longer, but singing and screaming was just the therapy I needed. You guys are the BEST band on the planet. I missed you at Bamboozle, but was thrilled that you were coming to a venue just a 15 min drive from home. Catch you next time!

ive been a huge weezer fan since '94. was my second time seeing them live. was definitely worth my travels to see them live again! absolutely phenomenal performance. waited 4 hours in line, and worth every second of the wait. im still blown away by the greatness known as weezer. they will always remain my favorite band and just by being there and seeing them rock reminded me of why i am proud to be a weezer fan and how great it makes me feel.
Allentown Fair Show
Weezer has a special place in my heart. I have listened to them for what seems like forever. In college with the blue album. We were so excited to see them and they put on a great show. One of my gripes is that they didn't play a long set. I think it was about 65 to 70 minutes. I payed 60 dollars a ticket, including service fees. Thats about a dollar a minute. I'm very disappointed in the length of the show. Another thing that bothered me was the IMAG screens. They were awful. There was a rolling hum and other interference that the video crew didn't seem to care about. The audio was also bad. The audio engineer didn't EQ for the fact that Rivers would be walking with a wireless mic under the main speaker line array. I am very surprised that an engineer running an Avid Digital console would not have dealt with this. (Yes I am an Audio Engineer) Feed back was happening a lot. All in all, Weezer played a great show but it was a little to short for the money we spent.

That concert was so frickin awesome... the set list with nothing but hits was just perfect for me..Dear weezer, please don't ever stop making music and touring!
